Visiomed Group (FR0013481835 - ALVMG), a key player in the connected healthcare sector, today announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary Smart Salem posted record revenue in 2021¹ and is set to achieve another year of strong growth.

In 2020, Smart Salem created the first digital medical center accredited by the Dubai Ministry of Health (DHA) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) in the United Arab Emirates. In 2021, for its first full year of operation, the center generated revenue of over AED 68.9 million (United Arab Emirates Dirham) or €16.6 million.

Smart Salem's revenue increased each quarter, reaching successive record levels of €4.3 million in the third quarter and €5.0 million in the fourth quarter, the period during which the company was included in the Visiomed Group consolidation scope².

Bolstered by the success of its first center, which received the H.H. Sheikh Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award for its ability to integrate the best health technologies and artificial intelligence in service of patient satisfaction, Smart Salem decided to open a second center in 2022. The company submitted a successful bid in the call for tenders issued by the Dubai authorities for the opening of a new digital medical center in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), Dubai's financial district and the largest financial hub in the region. This new center, with double the capacity of the first one, will benefit from nearly two years of feedback, while integrating new innovations that will gradually be rolled out across both sites.

Based on the first center's expected growth and the contribution of the second center from spring 2022, Smart Salem forecasts annual revenue of around AED 90 million (€21.4 million), up around 30%.

Thus, solely due to Smart Salem's contribution, Visiomed Group expects to reach new record consolidated revenue in 2022, exceeding the €19.0 million achieved in 2020.

Driven by its ability to combine growth and profitability, Smart Salem is thus helping to strengthen Visiomed Group's financial profile while self-financing its development.
